Minerals, Building Waste, Polluted Sites and Soils

Ports, canals, degraded land, deconstruction of buildings and certain industrial processes are numerous in our territories, whatever the country or region considered. They often contain mineral resources that can be used in the formulation of new construction materials or in the fight against coastal erosion and flooding risks!

These materials offer prospects for new circular economy sectors serving the economic development of territories, and the new economic configurations to be put in place to achieve this.

Presentation of Minerals, building waste, polluted sites and soils

Minerals come from the deconstruction of buildings, port sediments, quarry residues, industries, etc.

The mineral recycling industry has four main functions: collection, sorting, massification and finally the production of material or the incorporation of waste prepared for this purpose in the production processes of new products.

TEAM2's actions within Minerals, building Waste, Polluted Sites and Soil

Our objective is to ensure the transition towards a circular model that will allow for a better valorisation of resources and to boost systemic collaborations between actors producing or needing mineral materials.

Our ambition is to contribute to the implementation of an "agile" model by working in a transversal manner and by anticipating changes in the long term by taking into account the end-user and land use planning.

Through our support actions with our members and the many innovative projects approved by the cluster which have enabled us to obtain funding, we want to optimise the recycling of minerals (sediments, construction waste, industrial co-products) for "low carbon" solutions for the renewal of territories.
