Organics
The roadmap of this Strategic Activity Area is supported by the growth of questions on recycling and the recovery of this family of materials, as shown by the questions of companies and the publication of calls for projects by the public authorities. It is a question of taking the initiative with the economic players to identify the obstacles, pool the problems and identify projects to be dealt with in a collaborative manner.
We are stakeholders in the regional roadmap on the circular economy in its plastics and textiles sections. As such, we support regional actors in their transition towards resilient and sustainable development models as well as changes in behaviour towards more reasonable use and consumption.
What are organics?
The Organic Strategic Business Area deals with the recovery of materials from carbon chemistry. This area addresses the major challenges in each of the sectors, namely
- For plastics: Enabling a return to foodstuffs, developing viable recycling channels, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, supporting the recycling technologies of tomorrow, ensuring the traceability of recycled plastics, developing a vision of the quality, quantity and sustainability of the deposits.
- For composites: Identify outlets and viable channels for the components of composite parts at the end of their life.
- Textiles: Separate coated textiles, get the parties involved to collaborate on common issues (sorting/separation, untying, etc.).
- Biowaste: Support R&D (Research and Development) for the recovery of waste and co-products from processes.
TEAM2's actions in the field of organics
We support our members and prospects in their product and material end-of-life issues within a circular economy approach. The aim is to build innovative projects with them around the major challenges of these sectors.
Our objective is to identify the outlets for tomorrow's recycled materials and to develop innovative technologies for the recycling of composites, textiles, plastics and biowaste that will reduce environmental impacts.
